Intro to Backpacking

What:&nbsp; Introduction to Backpacking Trip When:&nbsp; October 17-18, 2026 (meetup time to be determined) Where:&nbsp; Meet at LT Mead Road Northern Terminus (by restrooms) Leaders:&nbsp; Dave Kowaleski and Craig Moorer Itinerary: &nbsp;8-mile loop, starting at Mead Road, Northern Terminus, then Haystacks Trail portion to Haystacks Rapids, and then ascend LT to Red-X Trail, with lunch probably at Haystacks. &nbsp;From there, take Red-X Trail to the Brook Kedron Trail, which is where we&#39;ll camp overnight, because of good water source. &nbsp;On the morning of the 18th, continue on Brook Kedron Trail to Dushore Road and return to parking lot. &nbsp;The maximum elevation gain is about 400-500 feet, so it&#39;s not a particularly difficult hike. THIS WILL BE A RAIN OR SHINE EVENT!&nbsp; Also, possibly limited to about 10 participants.
