LakayRo Youth Dance Company — Community Placement

LakayRo Inc. believes every young person deserves the opportunity to experience dance, connect with their cultural heritage, and grow in a supportive environment.

Our Community Placement option provides eligible families with financial assistance toward participation in the LakayRo Youth Dance Company. Through this opportunity, we aim to make Haitian and Afro-Diasporic dance education more accessible to youth while nurturing creativity, confidence, discipline, and cultural appreciation.

Students participate in our story-driven dance curriculum, exploring Kompa and traditional dance techniques, cultural history, and creative expression alongside their peers.

Community placements are offered based on eligibility, available funding, and program capacity. Families interested in receiving assistance are encouraged to contact LakayRo Inc. to discuss placement options.
