Workshop Description: Compassion Cards

Participants will engage in a therapeutic art experience creating cards reminding us of the things we need to show compassion towards. The cards can also be used to tell a story or simple express yourself and create something fun. Spend time reflecting, creating, and sharing using inspirational art supplies. Connect with others and discover meaning and healing through a collaborative art experience. All materials will be provided. All you need to bring is a willingness to engage and explore.

Workshop Description: Landscapes: Inner Sanctuaries 

Join local fiber artist, Aneesa Shami Zizzo, in capturing the abstract notion of memory through material exploration. Using reclaimed textile industry fabric, collage methods and applique techniques, participants will learn how to depict their personal memories and stories as abstract landscapes. Previous experience with handsewing is not required.
