Autumn is a dynamic time of change in nature, with birds migrating across the land, plants preparing for dormancy, and fungi popping up everywhere. Learn more about local ecology and how seasonal shifts affect what we observe on this relaxed walk around the farm. Rebecca Lexa, MA, OMN, WFR is a naturalist in Portland, OR. She teaches a variety of classes on regional natural history, and leads guided nature tours in the Pacific Northwest. She is also the author of&nbsp;The Everyday Naturalist: How to Identify Animals, Plants, and Fungi Wherever You Go (Ten Speed Press, 2025).
