Nuts are medium sized but tasty and consistently healthy. Nuts are sweet and appear to dry quickly, good for flour. Tree has short stature and typical orchard-type growth. For the last decade or so it has been surrounded by grafted cultivars (good pollen cloud). Mother tree ripens early compared with other Chinese chestnuts, making it more suitable for northern growers in the midwest and northeast.

We have 3-year old Chinese and hybrid chestnut trees available. All seedlings descend from prolific mother trees with excellent size and eating qualities. Seedlings trees will be delivered with label. Bundles of trees will include a mix of parentage unless otherwise specified.
