Please consider an additional tax-deductible donation (in increments of $50) to the PTSA. Your donation directly supports QAE students and helps ensure that all families can participate fully in school activities regardless of financial circumstances.

This year our PTSA is funding a staffing grant equivalent to 1 full time specialist, which will be spread across a part-time art teacher and increasing our librarian from half to nearly full time, giving her more hours to support the new ELA curriculum, especially in our split classes. The PTSA is also funding three hourly tutors that provide additional assistance to students throughout the school day.

PTSA funds also go toward classroom and teacher expenses, events throughout the year (back to school BBQ, culture night, bingo night, family dance, game night, field day), and supporting families in need, including supply fees for families who are unable to pay and afterschool enrichment scholarships.

What is our projected spend?
For 2026-27, we are budgeted to spend ~$1,516/student.

This breaks down as approximately:

1) $975/student goes our staffing grant of 1 FTE specialist and 3 tutors. Principal Warren works with the staff to decide how to best deploy the tutors (typically in kindergarten, split grade classes, large classes, and other areas where additional support is requested by teachers).

2) $203/student goes to classroom expenses and other expenses for teachers and students.

3) $246/student goes to fundraising and admin expenses, such as the cost of the auction/fundraising, credit card fees, insurance, tax prep for our 501c3, software subscriptions for our website/tools, etc. We are actively managing our budget to keep expenses low.

4) $84/student goes to putting on PTSA events throughout the year, such as the back to school BBQ, culture night, bingo night, family dance, game night, field day, etc.

5) $9/student goes to community support, afterschool enrichment scholarships and otherwise supporting QAE families in need.

Total: ~$1516/student to ensure quality education and support for all QAE students
