What is Spenard Song Circle?&nbsp;Spenard Song Circle (SSC) was founded by Emma Hill in 2017 as a community-oriented music event celebrating Alaskan singer-songwriters. Originally conceived as a forum for Emma and two additional local musicians to share their original songs and stories in an intimate, conversational format, SSC quickly resonated with audiences for its unique blend of performance and storytelling. Over the years, SSC&rsquo;s programming has grown to include all-ages open mic nights and songwriter events, creating a platform for both emerging and established Alaskan artists to engage with local audiences. In 2024, SSC officially became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, positioning itself to expand its programming and strengthen its role in Alaska&rsquo;s music community.
