Our afternoon sessions are for open forging, for blacksmiths with previous experience (attending the morning instruction prior counts!) Minimal instruction provided, though other smiths are usually happy to talk shop. This is an opportunity to work on your own small project or experiment with a new technique! We will have a small amount of scrap available for purchase, but we encourage you to bring your own steel. The registration fee helps to cover the fuel and insurance, and gives you supervised use of club forges, anvils, and hand tools. This is a great chance to work alongside other smiths and all learn from each other as a club!
