Their lives are disrupted by the arrival of the Wild One, who challenges their confinement.&nbsp; The play becomes a study of conformity, manipulation, and the cost of liberation. Themes that are explored by director Claire Gordon and her cast of 8 women in this production nearly 50 years on. Now in a world where social media, AI and the fight to belong and exist continue to be a challenge that enforces a metaphorical cage that can keep women trapped in their own self induced isolation. Sometimes it&#39;s easier to close the door and lock yourself away from the world outside because the cost of freedom seems too great. This short play where 7 women appear caged by the ominous Mistress will be staged in March for International Women&#39;s day as a statement to call to attention the challenges still faced by many women today.
