Each woman approaches widowhood differently: Doris holds tightly to the past, Lucille is determined to enjoy life again, and Ida quietly wonders whether she might be ready to open her heart to someone new. When they meet Sam, a kind widower with a loss of his own, their friendship is tested by changing loyalties, unexpected romance, and the difficult question of how to honor the past while still embracing the future.
