🦋 OKAY, FRIENDS—IT’S TIME!For almost five years, people have told me they want to help Wings of Change. I’ve collected names, met wonderful people at events, and heard, “Let me know what I can do!” And alas…I haven’t been organized enough to bring everyone together and keep it moving! The work hasn’t stopped, though. Most of the time, I’ve simply loaded the truck and gone to events alone. WINGS OF CHANGE IS READY TO GROW! And I cannot do all of this by myself anymore. Please join us for our very first: MONTHLY VOLUNTEER MEET & GREETEvery Third Tuesday 6:30 PM Pacific Online through ZoomJOIN US ON ZOOM We have SO much happening! We’re creating butterfly and pollinator habitats, growing native plants, teaching children, speaking to community groups, helping people conserve water, building new programs, and bringing more habitat into our communities. We’re also starting monthly Saturday Meet & Grow Days here at Wings of Change—because sometimes the best way to get to know one another is to work together, learn something new, and play in the dirt! HOW CAN YOU HELP?There is something for almost everyone:Events, booths, crafts, and children’s activities Plant care, seeds, watering, labeling, and nursery organization Habitat projects and hands-on volunteer days Photography, writing, blogs, and social media Fundraising, grants, memberships, and partnerships Computers, website support, and cybersecurity—we were just hacked again! Phone calls, follow-up, organization, and office help Leading projects and helping us dream up wonderful new things Some things can be done from home. Some are perfect for students who need experience or community-service hours. Some require strong backs, while others need creative minds, good organizers, teachers, gardeners, technology people—or simply someone who knows how to get things done! You don’t have to know exactly where you fit. 🧡 BRING YOURSELF TO THE TABLE. We can figure out where you fit together. I do want to be honest. I’ve had people sign up, promise to help, and then disappear. I’m not going to chase people or beg them to participate anymore. We need people who genuinely want to be here—people who will communicate, follow through, and show up when they say they will. For the first time in five years, I’m also opening the door to people who may want to become part of our closer Wings of Change team, lead programs, or possibly join our board. That is a very big deal for me. I don’t hand over pieces of something I love easily. But Wings of Change is ready for more people, more ideas, and more possibilities! Maybe you signed up months ago. Maybe we met at an event. Maybe you’ve been waiting for me to finally get organized and send this email! WELL, HERE IT IS. THIS IS THE ALL CALL! If you really want to help, come meet us Tuesday night.Let’s find out what we can grow together! With gratitude,Stephanie Holbrook President, Wings of ChangeLearn. Grow.
