Founded in 1969, the Alton Youth Symphony provides orchestral opportunities for young musicians in the Alton area. It offers a full symphony orchestra for grades 5-8 and a junior youth symphony for grades 3-5. A chamber ensemble performs at community events.
Mission
Alton Youth Symphony enriches the Alton area by offering young musicians the chance to play in a full symphony orchestra, fostering their musical talents and providing performance opportunities. They strive to provide diverse and challenging musical experiences under the guidance of professional music directors.
