American Legion Post 256 in Canandaigua, NY, supports veterans, active duty military, and their families. Founded in 1953 and located at 454 N. Main Street, the post has grown to 450+ members. Members volunteer for community projects. General meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Dues are $50 annually.
Mission
The American Legion Canandaigua Post 256 is dedicated to serving the community and nation, ensuring veterans receive the benefits they deserve for their sacrifices to America. Their success depends on active membership, participation, and volunteerism, thriving in the communities they serve.
