Founded in 1946, the American Legion Auxiliary Department of Vermont supports veterans, active military, and their families. In the spirit of Service, Not Self, they support The American Legion, honor the sacrifices of service members, and foster patriotism and responsible citizenship. They also provide educational opportunities, award scholarships, and promote literacy within Vermont communities.
Mission
The American Legion Auxiliary supports The American Legion and honors the sacrifice of those who serve by enhancing the lives of veterans, military, and their families, both at home and abroad. They advocate for veterans, educate citizens, mentor youth, and promote patriotism, good citizenship, peace, and security.
