American Legion Post 390 in Hempstead, NY, improves the well-being of veterans, their families, military personnel, and the local community. Founded in 1946, it operates out of the historic Carman-Irish House. The post provides resources and support to veterans in need in the Uniondale and Hempstead Village areas.
Mission
The American Legion strengthens our communities, states, and nation with programs and services for our veterans, the military, and their families. They are dedicated to mutual helpfulness and enhancing the well-being of veterans and their families.
