The American Popular Song Society, originally the New York Sheet Music Society (est. 1980), is dedicated to promoting and preserving the Great American Songbook through performances and education. They celebrate American popular song, jazz, and related theatrical arts.
Mission
We exist to promote the creation and appreciation of the American Popular Songbook through performances, but also embracing the many related musical, and theatrical creations inspired by our program producers.
