The American Postal Workers Union (APWU), founded in 1971, represents over 200,000 USPS employees and retirees, and nearly 2,000 private-sector mail workers. The APWU fights for dignity and respect on the job, decent pay and benefits, and safe working conditions. As an AFL-CIO affiliate, the APWU supports social and economic justice for all working families.
Mission
Through collective bargaining, legislative action and mobilization, APWU fights for dignity and respect on the job for postal workers. They advocate for decent pay, benefits, safe workplaces, the right to public postal services, and solidarity with all workers.
