The American Songbook Association, founded in 1979, is dedicated to preserving, promoting, and advancing the legacy of American popular music, including the Great American Songbook, cabaret, musical theater, and jazz. They foster an appreciation for this music through educational programs in NYC public schools and by honoring those who have made outstanding contributions. Their mission is to create transformational experiences for people of all ages by engaging in this timeless music.
