Amherst Nursery School, WNY's first cooperative preschool (est. 1938), offers dynamic classes for 2-4 year olds. Parents are highly involved with teachers. Founded as a mother's study group, it evolved into a cooperative school. ANS fosters a beneficial educational and social experience for children.

Amherst Nursery School is a non-profit, non-denominational, private cooperative nursery school providing classes for two, three and four year old children. They offer experienced teachers, teacher aides, and a cooperative parent involvement program.
