The Arkansas Lawyer Assistance Program (JLAP), est. 2000 by the AR Supreme Court, offers confidential behavioral health & substance abuse services to AR judges, lawyers, their families, & law students. JLAP helps address issues like stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, & grief. Volunteers provide peer support & education. The ARKANSAS LAWYER ASSISTANCE PROGRAMFOUNDATION supports JLAP's mission.
Mission
The Arkansas Lawyer Assistance Program (JLAP) protects clients and the public from harm caused by impaired lawyers and judges. JLAP assists impaired members of the legal profession in their recovery and educates the bench and bar on impairments affecting legal professionals.
