The Association of the Woodbury Fire Department, founded in 1986, supports the Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department (VFD), established in 1928. The VFD protects lives, property, and the environment in Woodbury, CT, responding to approximately 300 fire and rescue calls annually. The Association assists the VFD in delivering the highest degree of protection possible and raises funds for equipment and needs outside the town budget.

Established in 1928, the Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department protects the lives, properties, and environment of the Town of Woodbury by delivering the highest degree of protection of life, property and the environment that is technologically possible and economically feasible.
