The Barnes Area Historical Association (BAHA), founded in 2005, preserves and shares the history of the Barnes area through preservation and education. BAHA is affiliated with the Wisconsin Historical Society and manages a museum with exhibits on local history, pioneer families and businesses that helped grow the town.
