About
The Bay Ridge Aquatics Institute (BRAINS), founded by Thomas F. Greene, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit offering life-saving, swim-centered educational programs. Established after the Fort Hamilton High School pool was built in 1993, BRAINS provides comprehensive aquatics programs to the Bay Ridge community, including the Harbor Seals swim team, Learn to Swim, and American Red Cross training. They reach over 500 participants yearly.
Mission
Bay Ridge Aquatics Institute sponsors several community activities such as providing a safe and clean environment in which both adult and children can learn to swim.
