A series of programs and lectures from September through May, highlighting the unique history of the community and its residents.
Historic House Plaque Program
Offers plaques to identify historically interesting properties that are at least 50 years old, with no restrictions or special requirements for homeowners.
Preservation Awards
Presents an award to individuals or organizations that have made a notable contribution to preserving structures or land in the town.
Elementary School Program
A school program at Cipriani Elementary where third graders learn about local history.

About
The Belmont Historical Society, founded in 1968, is dedicated to preserving and interpreting Belmont, MA's heritage. An all-volunteer organization, they maintain an archival collection in the Belmont Memorial Library, open to the public four days a week. Programs include monthly events, a quarterly newsletter, a high school scholarship, recognition of historic building preservation, and a Historic House Plaque Program. They also own and maintain the historic Wellington Station.
Mission
The Belmont Historical Society collects and preserves artifacts of Belmont's history. They offer programs, lectures, and maintain an archival collection open to the public, sharing knowledge of the town from its beginnings to the present.
