The Big Hole River Foundation, founded in 1988 by George F. Grant, works to protect, conserve, and enhance the free-flowing Big Hole River, its unique culture, fisheries, and wildlife. BHRF is dedicated to defending and conserving the natural and cultural resources of the Big Hole Valley, preventing impoundments and dams, protecting river access, and supporting floodplain development regulations.
Mission
The Big Hole River Foundation accomplished its mission by focusing on projects that followed key elements within the Big Hole River Basin: research, conservation, and community outreach. They operated a water quality monitoring program and supported conservation efforts.
