Founded in 2009, the Bigfoot Volunteer Fire Department Inc. proudly serves the community of Bigfoot, TX, from our location at PO Box 34. As the first state licensed First Responder Organization in Frio County, our mission is to provide essential fire suppression and rescue services across a 227 square mile area, ensuring safety and support when it's needed most.
Mission
Bigfoot VFD is the first state licensed First Responder Organization in Frio County. Bigfoot VFD contracts with Frio County Emergency Service District No. 1 to provide fire suppression and rescue services in a 227 square mile service area. Bigfoot VFD also contracts with the Frio County EMS service provider to provide First Responder medical services in the same area.
