BkMk Press, est. 1971, publishes 4-6 titles annually, specializing in poetry, short fiction, and creative essays. Originally at Johnson County Library, it moved to UMKC in 1983. It fosters literary talent and launched the Roy Fox Memorial Chapbook Series in 1996.
