About
Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc., founded in 1942, supports mothers, stepmothers, grandmothers, foster mothers, and female legal guardians with children serving in the military, guard, or reserves, or who are veterans. The organization provides mutual support and promotes patriotism. They engage in activities such as volunteering at VA and military hospitals, legislative advocacy, sending troop care packages, and supporting PTSD and wounded warrior projects. Blue Star Mothers are dedicated to never forsaking troops, veterans, or families of Fallen Heroes.
Mission
Oklahoma Chapter One sends Freedom Boxes to troops serving abroad to thank them for their service and patriotism. They support veterans, offer moral support to each other, attend funerals to pay respects, and attend deployment and re-deployment ceremonies.
