The Bowling Green State University Faculty Association (BGSU-FA) is a labor union and the voice of BGSU faculty on issues of shared governance, intellectual property, compensation, working conditions, and healthcare. Founded in 2012, it represents faculty in contract negotiations with the administration, advocating for their interests and well-being. A chapter of AAUP has existed at BGSU since the 1960s, with the BGSU-FA officially forming in 1976.
Mission
The Bowling Green State University Faculty Association (BGSU-FA) is a democratic, member-led organization run by faculty for faculty. Its main mission is to negotiate the terms and conditions of employment for all full-time BGSU faculty, including salary and benefits, working conditions, and faculty grievances.
