The Brenham Maifest Association, originating from the Volksfest of 1874, formally established in 1951, continues the annual Brenham Maifest to promote Washington County's cultural heritage. It enriches the lives of citizens, especially the youth, and supports youth activities through gifts and donations. The Maifest has been an annual tradition since 1881, barring interruptions during WWI & WWII.
Mission
Brenham Maifest preserves Washington County's heritage by continuing the annual Maifest celebration, enriching lives with emphasis on the youth and receiving gifts for these purposes.
