The Brooklin Volunteer Fire Department, serving Brooklin, ME since 1948, was born out of a need for community self-reliance after the devastating fires of 1947. Starting with a dedicated patrol system and a donated hearse house, it has grown into a vital organization of devoted volunteers who provide fire protection and emergency response. Generations deep, the department embodies the spirit of neighbors helping neighbors, ensuring the wellbeing of their remote community.
