California Dance Institute (CDI), founded in 2009, transforms the lives of Los Angeles public school students through dance and music. As an associate of the National Dance Institute, CDI provides in-school programs, after-school SWAT (Scholarships for the Willing, Achieving and Talented) practices, and Celebration Teams. CDI's citywide 'Event of the Year' offers students a professional theater experience, fostering confidence and life skills.

California Dance Institute improves and transforms the lives of public school students across Los Angeles through the joy and rigor of dance and music instruction. CDI’s life affirming programming teaches not just dance, but provides children with the skills to confidently take on the challenges of the world.
