About
Canterbury Choral Society, founded in 1952, presents masterful choral works in sacred spaces with full orchestrations. Founded by Charles Dodsley Walker, Canterbury brings together volunteer and professional musicians. They perform 2-3 major concerts per season, often with professional instrumentalists, organists, and soloists. Since its founding, over 3,000 children have sung with the chorus. Canterbury achieved independent 501(c)(3) status in 1988.
Mission
Canterbury Choral Society's mission is to present sacred choral masterpieces in sacred spaces with their full original orchestrations. Their concerts bring together a unique community of volunteer, semi-professional and professional musicians.
