Capitol Area Telugu Society (CATS), founded in 2009, is a non-profit devoted to promoting Telugu culture in the Washington D.C. area. CATS aims to serve the Telugu community and preserve its heritage. CATS is securing funds for a permanent building for the Telugu community in the Capitol Area.

Capitol Area Telugu Society (CATS) encourages and promotes the cultural and religious functions of the Telugu community. They facilitate communication among members, support educational and socio-economic development, and advance the Telugu language and culture.
