About
CARTM, now Heart of CARTM, started in 1990 as a volunteer-run recycling station in Manzanita, OR, evolving into a nonprofit in 1997. It aims to lead the community to zero waste by operating The Refindery, a unique recycling center and resale store. CARTM facilitates the reimagination, reuse, and repair of resources for social, economic, and creative benefit.
Mission
CARTM is a hub for creative reuse, repair, and sustainable solutions in Tillamook County that prioritizes reuse, repair and creative expression over landfilling. They facilitate the reimagination, reuse and repair of our region's resources, leading to a zero waste community.
