About
Chester Co-op Preschool, founded in 1948, believes family involvement is key to a child's success. Using Reggio Emilia principles and Creative Curriculum, they aim to make parents, teachers, and children equal partners in learning. The school fosters self-expression, communication, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Originally started to fill a need for kindergarten, it became a parent cooperative in 1962 and moved to its current Chesterland location in 2006.
Mission
Chester Co-op Preschool, located in downtown Chesterland, Ohio, offers programs from 18 months to Pre-K. They believe in providing a well-rounded educational experience, using an accredited curriculum and offering enriching activities to guide children to be happy and confident in school and beyond.
