About
The Cheyenne Elders Council, founded in 2007 by Grandmother Margaret Behan, aims to strengthen Cheyenne traditional values. It promotes self-healing from intergenerational trauma through ceremonies, intergenerational training, and sharing tribal elders' wisdom. The council also works to bridge the gap between the Northern and Southern Cheyenne.
Mission
The Cheyenne Elders Council promotes self-healing from inter-generational trauma through participation in traditional ceremonies. They share the wisdom of tribal elders with younger generations, and break down the divisions between the Northern and Southern Cheyenne.
