The Chicago Area Alternative Education League (CAAEL), founded in 1976, empowers at-risk/special education students by filling the interscholastic athletic and activity gap. CAAEL provides alternative school educators with therapeutic programming to engage students, fostering personal growth and responsibility through integrated athletic and academic programs. By meeting attendance, academic, and behavioral criteria, students can participate in character-building activities.
