Chora Nova, founded in 2006, is a Berkeley-based auditioned chorus presenting innovative programs featuring diverse musical works. Led by John Kendall Bailey, the chorus draws experienced singers from around the Bay Area and performs three concerts each year. Chora Nova grew from a group of singers from the Baroque Choral Guild.

Chora Nova is a sixty-voice chorus based in Berkeley, California, that has become an important part of the San Francisco Bay Area’s cultural fabric. They present innovative programs featuring a mix of well-known and unusual works.
