About
Founded in 1980, the Cleveland Chamber Symphony (CCS) is dedicated to performing, recording, and promoting contemporary music, primarily by American composers. With over 240 world premieres, the CCS supports new music through commissions, repeat performances, and recordings. They champion emerging composers through collaborations with universities and maintain residencies with Baldwin Wallace University and The Music School Settlement.

The Cleveland Chamber Symphony commissions, performs, records, and promotes musical works exclusively by contemporary composers, primarily American, advancing the art of contemporary music.
