The Coldwater Community Picnic Association, est. 1991, continues a tradition started in 1961. It raises funds for permanent improvements to Coldwater Memorial Park and the Coldwater Public Library. Around 1,000 volunteers organize the annual picnic, which includes various activities and stands. The slogan is: “The library is for the mind and the park is for the body.”

The Coldwater Community Picnic Association combines organizations for the benefit of the Coldwater Library and Memorial Park, supporting these vital community resources through their annual event.
