Mentor Programme

Colfax Musical Program
Supports musical activities for students in grades 5-8, fostering creativity and performance skills.
Colfax Garden Program
Maintains the Colfax Garden for K-2 students, promoting hands-on learning and appreciation for nature.
Field Trip Program

The Pittsburgh Colfax K-8 Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) enhances education at Colfax K-8 by supporting families across Squirrel Hill, East Hills, Homewood, Shadyside & Point Breeze. Founded in 2006, the PTO raises funds, organizes volunteers, plans events, & facilitates communication. They fund educational programs providing roughly $100 per child, $2500 per classroom, and $10,000 per grade.
Mission
The Pittsburgh Colfax K-8 Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) works to supplement the baseline Colfax K-8 education by serving families across parts of Squirrel Hill, East Hills, Homewood, Shadyside, and Point Breeze. The Colfax PTO fulfills this mission through fundraising, organizing volunteers, planning events, and facilitating communication.
