The Committee on Better Racial Assurance (COBRA), est. 1973, aims to improve life quality, especially for African Americans, by promoting self-help. COBRA provides sickle cell awareness, education, counseling, and support. Originally founded to address race-related community problems and aid those in need, COBRA continues to serve the North Charleston community.
