The Committee On Poetry, Inc., est. 1966, is a nonprofit arts org giving grants to poets/philosophers lacking finance for projects. It sustains artists, promotes free expression, publishes art, aids sick/isolated creatives, & supports projects for a humane spirit. They assist artists, help actualize projects like publications or performances, & provide emergency grants. They organize festivals, sponsor poetry reading series, established the Harry Smith Archives in 1991 and sponsored the Charlie Parker Festival.
