About
Commonwealth Chorale, founded in 1977 (originally Newton Choral Society), is an accomplished chorus in the Boston area. Led by Artistic Director Dr. Michael Driscoll, they perform classical music, emphasizing local composers. They also commission and premiere new works.
Mission
Commonwealth Chorale is committed to performing the finest classical music from all periods and from a wide cross-section of composers. It is an accomplished, welcoming and inclusive auditioned chorus that attracts experienced singers from the metropolitan Boston area.
