CACIL, the Connecticut Association of Centers for Independent Living, supports Centers for Independent Living (CILs) statewide. CACIL strives to remove barriers, ensure equal opportunities, safeguard rights, and promote independence, inclusion, and integration for people with disabilities. CILs have been a voice in CT's disability rights movement for over 30 years.
Mission
CACIL's mission is to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities by supporting the Centers for Independent Living (CILs) in safeguarding the rights, ensuring equal access and opportunities and promoting the Independent Living philosophy both within the disability community and to the public.
