About
The Continental Dorset Club, founded in 1952, promotes and supports Dorset sheep breeding. Originating from Horned Dorsets, the breed gained popularity in America due to a polled gene mutation. Dorsets are known for breeding out-of-season, excellent mothering, easy lambing, and meat production, making them suitable for various sheep enterprises. The club supports youth projects through programs and shows.
Mission
CONTINENTAL DORSET CLUB INC supports Dorset sheep breeders in Good Hope, IL, fostering a community dedicated to the advancement and appreciation of the Dorset breed.
