Archives and Museum
Archives open year-round for research, actively used by individuals and the Deer Isle-Stonington Elementary and High School students. The museum is open to the public July through September.

About
The Deer Isle-Stonington Historical Society, established in 1959, preserves historical facts, records, and relics of Deer Isle, Stonington, and nearby islands in East Penobscot Bay. They offer summer tours of museum buildings and year-round access to archives. Exhibits include the Sellers House showcasing 19th-century life, a Marine Hall featuring Deer Isle’s America’s Cup involvement, and an Exhibit Barn with a printing press, Native American artifacts, and a fisheries exhibit.

Formed in 1959, the Deer Isle-Stonington Historical Society collects and preserves historical facts, records and relics pertaining to Deer Isle, Stonington and adjoining communities and islands of East Penobscot Bay in the State of Maine.
