The Detroit Retired City Employees Association (DRCEA), founded in 1990, represents and protects the interests of retired civilian City of Detroit employees. A volunteer-based organization, DRCEA monitors city administration and works to improve pensions and benefits for its members. It began with a small group of retirees and has grown to gain respect and influence at City Hall, advocating for retirees' needs.
Mission
The Detroit Retired City Employees Association is a service organization representing and protecting the interests of civilian City of Detroit retirees, spouses of deceased retirees, and other beneficiaries. DRCEA monitors actions that may affect pension or retirement benefits.
