Dodgingtown Volunteer Fire Company, serving Newtown since 1911, provides emergency services to the southwest portion of Newtown, and mutual aid to Bethel, Redding, and Easton. It is an all-volunteer department with a rich history and comprised of lifelong and newer members.

Dodgingtown Volunteer Fire Company provides emergency services to the South-West portion of the Town of Newtown. Because of the geographic location, the company also provides mutual aid services to Bethel, Redding and Easton.
